S.E.A Aquarium at Singapore

S.E.A Aquarium at Singapore

Sea Aquarium

The Sea Aquarium is another great place to visit if you are going to Singapore. It’s packed with lots of sea creatures and colourful fishes and many more.. I don’t remember the cost of the ticket per person but it’s worth a visit.  I do remember that they charge for adults & children separately.  The nice thing about the Sea Aquarium is that you’ll easily spend 2hours at a minimum exploring all the creatures.  The most fascinating experience of all is that you fell like you are inside the water and the creatures are flying on your head 😲

And yes, the kids are really going to like it a lot.  Even the little girl, Tehiyyah couldn’t help staring the creatures pleasantly surprised.  The other nice thing about it is that you would also see many of the Aquarium’s staff checking on people if they have any questions or need assistance.  Since it takes time to fully explore the Aquarium, there are places at regular intervals where the tourists can take a break.

Fish Theatre

This place – I call it a ‘Fish Theatre’ is actually one of those stops where people can take a break.  It’s well designed and while you are sitting you see this big glass wall before you, where you could see fishes from different genetic family.  The pic might not be clear but you would get an idea of what I am talking about.  And yes, don’t look at Zaki – he looks very serious in this photo 😊

One of the good things you would see and you’ll get fascinated about it is that a person would appear surprisingly in the middle of nowhere and start feeding the Sharks inside the water.  And yes, the kids would begin to scream.  The place would remind you of the beauty of Allah’s creations and we start to appreciate the fact that we are a tiny part of the whole universe.  All praises to him for his beautiful and mind blowing creations👏

One other thing which my kids still remember and they remind me often is that while we were exiting the Sea Aquarium, there’s this young native girl asking us to make a pledge and distributing gifts for free if we do that.  One of the pledge we had to make is to stop using plastic bags, as many tonnes of plastics (as we know) is accumulating in Sea everyday as human waste.  And killing fishes and having a negative effect on our ecosystem and the planet.  I took a pledge and I am trying to “walk my talk” but to be honest, have failed many times inadvertently.

So, it’s definitely a place worth visiting (especially with the kids) as they’ll learn a lot and will have fun too.
